What’s in the Name?
The Story of How 'Syook' Came to Be!"
One morning in 2016, we found ourselves deep in debate over what to name our company. Every catchy domain name we liked was outrageously expensive. Over cups of traditional filter coffee, Saurabh and I decided we needed to get creative and invent a name. Out of the blue, Saurabh said, "A name should be simple and easy to pronounce, like Syook." The word struck a chord with us, reminiscent of our time in the Middle East. It sounded like "Souk," the Arabic word for marketplace. A quick domain check showed that syook.com was available for just $10. We seized the opportunity, and Syook was born. We've never looked back since, and that's how our unique name came to be.
